Maratha reservation movement leader Manoj Jarange Patil has openly attacked Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for the first time . He alleged that Shinde is playing a “double game” with the Maratha community and that the government is betraying them on the issue of Maratha reservation.
Jarange Patil said that the Maratha community has given political power to many leaders, but now those same leaders are ignoring the community’s interests. He claimed that there is a well-planned conspiracy behind some of the government’s decisions.
“Don’t let it come to the point of saying Uddhav Thackeray was better.”
Manoj Jarange said, “Don’t create a situation where people have to say, ‘Uddhav Thackeray was better.'” He warned Eknath Shinde that playing with the sentiments of the Maratha community could prove costly.
Allegations were also made on Kunbi certificate
Jarange Patil alleged that attempts were being made within the ministry to cancel Kunbi certificates . He also claimed that some leaders were organizing meetings against the Maratha community.
Warning given to the government
He stated that if the rights of the Maratha community continue to be ignored, the movement will be intensified. He also stated that they will not be intimidated by any pressure and will continue to fight at every level to protect the community’s interests.
Manoj Jarange-Patil’s statements have sparked a new debate in Maharashtra politics. However, there has been no official response from Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde or the state government to his allegations.
